13. Homework Policy Students lose a conduct point if not prepared on date due. Students have 2-5 days to turn in late work. After that, grade becomes a zero.

19. Absence Policy For each day absent, one day is allowed to complete missed work. Your child is responsible for any missed work. They must pick up the next day. If parents wants to pick up daily work, please email the homeroom teacher by 10 a.m.

23. Olweus Bullying Prevention Program “…the most researched and best-known bullying prevention program available today. It is a whole-school program that has been proven to prevent or reduce bullying throughout a school setting. OBPP is used at the school, classroom and individual levels and includes methods to reach out to parents and the community for involvement and support.” Lake Pointe Elementary teachers will be trained on this program, and there will be some form of parent/community training session as well. The program will help us to all use the same wordage when talking about and defining bullying. It will address not only how to work with the bully and the victim, but it will also focus on the importance of the role of the bystander(s).
