The EDGE Information and news that gives you an edge in the real estate business The March 2016 MLS statistics will be released this Wednesday, April 13, and here are some highlights of the report: Houston home sales decreased 2.2 percent year-over-year in March, with a total of 6,001 single-family units sold. Months of inventory grew to a 3.6-months supply compared to a 2.8-months supply in March For perspective, housing inventory nationally stands at a 4.4-months supply. The single-family home average price was $272,658 while the median price was $215,000 (a record high for a March). March rentals of single-family homes rose 9.0 percent year-over- year and the cost of renting those homes increased less than one percent to $1,736.
