Are you ready to walk a mile in someone else’s shoes? Imagine what it would be like to live in another time, in another place, as some other person. How would your life be the same or different compared to today?

We have been learning about The Great Depression and your task is to research that time period (1929 – 1939) using the internet. You will take on the role of a kid during The Great Depression and write a journal. You will also complete a 2 page reflection paper.

Step 1: Using the websites provided research what life was like during The Great Depression. Make sure to take notes during your research. Step 2: Using your notes, you will take on the role of a child during The Great Depression and write a journal about your daily struggles. You may type this journal or hand write it. You should have at least 5 journal entries when you are finished. Step 3: You will write a 2 page reflection paper on how your life now is similar and how it is different to the life of children during The Great Depression. Step 4: On the last day of this assignment you will choose one of your journal entries to share with the class.
