1 Personal Project & the Academic Honesty Form

2 Learning intention / Success Criteria Students will be able to explain the importance of the academic honesty form, and understand how evidence checks are to work. Students will be successful when they can explain why the academic honesty form is important, and explain what should happen during an evidence check meeting.

3 Academic Honesty Form You MUST keep track of this all the way until your final paper is submitted! Keep it somewhere safe!

4 Academic Dishonesty intentionally or unintentionally using someone else’s work (print, digital, spoken, etc.) as one’s own.

5 ✖ Each time you meet with your supervisor, you must record it on your academic honesty form ✖ Summary of the meeting needs to be written, and both student and supervisor need to sign off on it ✖ “Contract” declaring that all of the work within your project, paper, and process journal is your own, or cited appropriately Academic Honesty Form

6 ✖ Hard copy will be provided before the next evidence check ✖ Keep notes in Managebac of each of your meetings with your supervisor, in case you lose your form ✖ Extra copies can be found on managebac and on the Personal Project page of Reagan’s website

7 Evidence Checks - Meeting With your Supervisor

8 Scheduling ✖ It is your responsibility to schedule a meeting with your supervisor for each evidence check. As soon as you receive evidence check requirements, schedule a time with your supervisor to discuss your progress for 5- 10 minutes ✖ Do NOT wait until the day before the evidence check is due to schedule!

9 Managebac & Evidence Checks ✖ Be sure that you are keeping up to date with your process journal entries! This will make meeting with your supervisor much easier! ✖ In your process journal, record notes about your meeting

10 What should happen when I meet with my Supervisor? ✖ You should have a discussion about your progress ✖ Each evidence check, you will be provided with guidelines that will help guide your conversation Keeping in touch with your supervisor and doing small check- ins with your supervisor will make your formal meetings easier!
