Biology Mr. Edgardo Ramirez Syllabus

Biology: Required to Graduate! Biology is the only life science available to students in high school that fulfills their graduation requirement! For your son/daughter to graduate they must pass Biology.

Grading Scale A = 90% B = 80% C = 65% D = 50% F = ↓ 50%

Biology: assignments Students are required to turn in their assignments by the date given on the assignment board. –Late assignments will be accepted for ½ credit only, and will not be accepted once erased from the assignment board.

Biology: assignments Every student must keep track of their assignments on the “Assignment Tracker”. This sheet becomes the cover page of their “Assignment Packet”.

Biology: assignments Assignment Packets must contain the following: 1.Assignment Tracker 2.Agenda Sheet 3.All assignments in order according to assignment board

Biology: homework Homework will be assigned once or twice a week, usually consisting of class work that is too long to complete during class.

Rules You must be in class before bell rings. Tardy Policy: Every 3 tardies will equal -5 points. Will be totaled at the end of semester. -All students who arrive more than 20 minutes late will be considered absent and sent back to attendance office. -Chronic tardiness can be met with suspension.

Rules Food and Drinks are O.K. as long as trash is disposed of correctly. Absolutely NO electronic devices should be used in class except electronic translators.

Rules Students must show respect for one another. Any lack of respect for your classmates/teacher or any other class disturbances will be met with the following consequences: –1 st time = reminder to correct behavior –2 nd time = repeat reminder or travel to different class and lose points on current assignment –3 rd time = trip to dean’s office, call home and lose points on current assignment
