SPECIAL NOTES AND REMINDERS The School of Integrated Learning Middle School 354 is located on the third floor of the Maggie Walker Campus. The Main Office is located in Room 346. School hours are from 8:00 AM to 2:20 PM on Mondays and Fridays and 8:00 AM to 3:10 PM on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Mandatory extended day hours will be included for the school year. Students will be informed of these hours in September Breakfast is served from 7:30– 7:55 AM. Students, staff and parents/ guardians will use the main entrance on Sterling Place to enter and exit the building. All students are expected to wear the selected academic dress code (uniform) of closed shoes or sneakers, khaki or navy blue pants, skort or skirt with a light blue (baby blue) top. No hooded shirt is allowed. All students must wear sneakers and the required gym uniform for gym classes. The Mission Statement We at the School of Integrated Learning (MS 354) guide our community individually and collectively towards success by making good choices that address academic needs and enhance social development, while awakening and nurturing interests and talents. The School The School of Integrated Learning is in its sixth year and will be graduating its fourth group of students this June. Curriculum Focus: Balanced Literacy and Balanced Mathematics Workshop Model of Instruction. Research based and data driven instructional methods of instruction. Standards based academic activities in all content areas. Interdisciplinary/project based instruction. Technology interventions and enrichment activities. Service learning activities. Co-Curriculum Activities/Clubs The Co Curriculum Activities will serve to develop students’ skills, interests and talents. The Staff The staff is dedicated to serving each student to maximize his or her fullest potential.
