You need a nice, big binder. Covered zip-up binders are a great idea, but any large binder will do.

3. You need divided space for papers from each class
You need divided space for papers from each class. It can be built-in pockets like these or dividers that go in the rings.

4. You need a pencil pouch with pencils, highlighters and pens
You need a pencil pouch with pencils, highlighters and pens. You also need scissors, glue sticks, and a ruler. Pencil sharpeners and erasers are good too.

5. Keep spirals and/or loose notebook paper in the rings for easy access.

6. Colored Pencils are a must
Colored Pencils are a must. You might consider carrying index cards, post-it notes, and markers too.
