Human Impacts on the Environment
Global warming is caused by green house gases, which trap in the sun’s infrared rays in the earth’s atmosphere, which in turn heat up the earth’s atmosphere.

Disturbances are Common in Communities By: Sammie and Matt

How Disturbances Can Have a Positive Effect.. > On average every human spills 3 pounds of water on the ground a year this is very good for the plants and grass. > 750,000 people in the U.S. this year alone switched to water filters and drink tap water now instead of bottled water.

How Disturbances Can Have a Negative Effect It is estimated that approximately 706 million gallons of waste oil enter the ocean every year study estimates the total number of birds killed by oil spill is AROUND birds, 227 turtles and 27 mammals, including dolphins, have been collected dead along the U.S. Gulf Coast

Natural Disasters are Disturbances in Communities volcanic eruption can destroy wildlife habitats by covering entire areas with volcanic ash or molten lava.

Who Would have thought that recyling could do so much for the environment... >Every year 77% of people help out just by recycling. :) >Every year 23% do NOT! :'( >The United States isn't one of the top country's that promotes recycling....in fact its one of the least.

Global Warming: Causes and Effects >The United States was responsible for 20% of the global greenhouse gases emitted in (Greenhouse gases are emissions that rise into the atmosphere and trap the sun's energy keeping heat from escaping.) >Most of the world's emissions are attributed to the United States' large-scale use of fuels in vehicles and factories. >Damaging storms, droughts and related weather phenomena cause an increase in economic and health problems. Warmer weather provides breeding grounds for insects such as malaria- carrying mosquitoes. >Earths temperature has risen 1 degree Fahrenheit in the last century. The past 50 years of warming has been attributed to human activity.

Hunting can be good? The deer population has increased so quickly that humans hunting is actually good for the environment. There is less car accidents now which means less decay on the ground.
