There is a large field and adventure play area. There are separate dormitories for boys and girls both sleeping 20 children each. With 2 staff bedrooms.

There is a large field and adventure play area.

There are separate dormitories for boys and girls both sleeping 20 children each. With 2 staff bedrooms which can sleep up to 6 members of staff.

You can do different forest walks of varying length

The forest is a great place to turn this into….. ….A DEN!!!!

There is always the chance to visit Beeston Castle or the church next door to the centre

There are also activities that can take place on the site such as orienteering and team building

All meals and snacks are provided by the centre. Breakfast is toast and cereal. Lunch is a buffet with a choice of sandwiches and a hot option (i.e. sausage roll, pasty etc.), also fruit and yoghurt are available. For tea there is a choice of hot meals to choose from as well as juice and desert. We also provide juice and biscuits at break time and hot chocolate for supper. If there are any specific dietary requirements then please let the centre know and we will try our best to accommodate the child.

The main entrance has a numbered key pad and all external doors have an intruder alarm that can be switched on over night

Wellies, waterproofs, florescent jackets are available. Please bring clothes you don’t mind getting dirty!

As soon as we arrive during the first day we will get a health and safety talk from one of the members of staff

We will leave school at 9.30am.

 ALL CHILDREN WILL NEED TO BE IN SCHOOL BY 8.45AM ON WEDNESDAY 14 TH OCTOBER.  9.30 – Leave school by coach.  – Arrive at Conway Centre Burwardsley. Unpack and look round the centre (guided tour). Drinks and biscuits.  ­­– Orienteering Exercise around the grounds (led by Astbury Staff).  – Lunch (packed lunch provided by parents/carers).  1.30 – 4.30 – Den building.  5.00 – Tea.  6.00 – 8.00 – Campfire (songs & stories) and team games.  8.00 – 8.30 – Teddy parade.  9.00 – Bedtime/Lights out.

 Before cooked breakfast cereal and toast is available. Children and Staff are to pack before breakfast.  8.15 – Breakfast.  9.30 – – Habitat walk.  – Packed lunch (provided by Conway Centre).  1.30 – 3.30 – Willow Weaving.  4.00 – Coach back to school.  Arrive back at school at approximately 5pm. A text will be sent to parents when we leave.

Essentials: Sun cream Toothbrush & toothpaste Towel Plastic bags for wet kit Teddy Reading book A bag of sweets to share… We won’t need any money as everything is provided (and there isn’t a shop on site anyway!)

Clothing: Underwear, socks and 2 x spares Tracksuit bottoms / jog pants for getting dirty! Jeans x 1 T-shirt x 3 Warm jumper Trainers to keep clean Wellies for getting muddy! Waterproof coat Warm hat Gloves Cap (it might be sunny!) Shorts (you never know…) PJ’s for bed Slippers
