3 Classroom Values What do WE value as a class? What behaviors do we WANT to see in our class? On your sticky note, write down a couple of BEHAVIORS you want to see in our class.

4 Class Rules 1. Respect yourself. 2. Respect others. 3. Respect our school.

8 Behavior Board Move clips up and down. UP = Making good choices DOWN = Time to make better choices

9 Think Sheets Think sheets are completed if you move down the behavior clip board to “Teacher Choice.” A copy goes home to parents.

11 Morning Routine In the morning, come in and read what is on the Promethean board. Unpack backpack. Choose lunch. Turn in homework. Copy homework into agenda. Complete Morning Work.

12 Hallway Walk in a straight line Hands by your side Silent “Salt and pepper”

13 Water and Bathroom Bathroom signal Water Not during instruction Water bottles

14 Getting Attention I will count backward from 5... “5, 4, 3, 2, 1” When I get to 1, it is SILENT. I will do this when I need your immediate attention.

15 Snack Healthy snacks only What is the difference between a healthy snack and an unhealthy snack?

16 If you finish early... READ No drawing Finish other work you need to turn in.

17 Homework DO IT! DO IT! Turn it in on time. Biblionasium (What if no internet?)

18 Homework, continued Homework is assigned every night Monday-Thursday. Math sheet is due Friday Reading every night (log 5 days for a chance to win)

19 Why Read 20 Minutes?

20 If you are absent... Check in the folder for the day of the week you weren’t here. Get any work you missed. Complete the work and turn it in. ASK QUESTIONS if you need help.

21 Classroom Library Have a chapter book for reading during the reading block Read them here and at home! Take good care of books

22 Recess No football Every day (20 minutes) PE 3 days a week
