2 Rule of Opposition When performing a throwing or striking action, the opposite foot will be forward of the releasing/striking arm or leg.

3 Team Sports In most team sports: Offense 1)the team that has possession of the ball 2)the team trying to score points Defense 1)the team that does NOT have the ball 2)the team trying to prevent the other team from scoring

4 Absorbing force When catching projectiles (ie—footballs, basketballs, etc.), the receiver should try to give a little to absorb the force of the projectile.

5 Ready position The Ready Position is an athletic stance with knees bent and feet shoulder width apart. This is used in nearly every sport.
