3 TIDES Tides are the rise and fall of the ocean. Tides cycle as the moon rotates around the earth and as the position of the sun changes. TYPES OF TIDES High tide = Where the sea level is at it’s highest. Low tide = Where the sea is at it’s lowest. The weather can affect the tide, but the location of the moon has the biggest impact.
