3 Sitting at Your Table Sit in your assigned chair Keep all 4 of the chair’s legs on the floor Sit with your bottom on the seat Face forward in your chair Sit TTT (Tummy Touching Table) Do not pick at anything taped down or Velcro on your desk. Ask the teacher’s permission BEFORE you get a paper towel or disinfectant wipe from your table bin. Remember, you only have one nose so therefor you should only retrieve ONE tissue. Only use tissue if your nose is running.

4 Using the Wobble Cushions Select a wobble cushion as you enter in the morning. Sit on the cushion and rock back to front or side to side. Do not stab or puncture the cushion with any object. Do not draw or write your name on the cushion. Do not take the cushion out of our classroom. If you are caught using the cushion in any inappropriate way, you will loose your cushion privileges.

5 123 Transition 1.When the teacher holds up the number one, clean your desk 2.When the teacher holds up the number two, push in your chair and stand behind it 3.When the teacher holds up the number three, WALK to your spot on the learning floor 4.Sit like a pretzel or to your spot in line 5.Your table can receive a team table point if this is done correctly. Once your team has 10 points, you all will receive the big cookie!

6 Line Up When the teacher holds up the number one, clean your desk or your area When the teacher holds up the number two, push in your chair and stand behind it When the teacher holds up the number three, WALK to the line and stand behind the person in front of you Always line up in alphabetical order Place hands by your side Place lips tightly together Walk closely behind the person in front of you and stop when they stop. Stay on the right side of the hallway If you must tie your shoe, step out of line. WALK back to your place in line. 7 Transitioning to the Learning Floor 1.When the teacher holds up the number one, clean your desk 2.When the teacher holds up the number two, push in your chair and stand behind it 3.When the teacher holds up the number three, WALK to your spot on the learning floor 4.Sit like a pretzel 5.Place your hands in your lap 6.Place your lips tightly together 7.Listen to the speaker

8 Going to the Restroom As a Class When the teacher holds up the number one, clean your desk When the teacher holds up the number two, push in your chair and stand behind it When the teacher holds up the number three, WALK to the line and stand behind the person in front of you Place hands by your side Place lips tightly together Walk closely behind the person in front of you Only two-three boys and girls in the restroom at a time Go to an open stall when it is your turn to use the restroom. Use the restroom without talking or playing Get two pumps of soap Dry hands Get a sip of water if desired Return to the end of the line Place hands by your side Place lips tightly together

9 Leaving the Room Independently Raise your hand to be acknowledged. Use your restroom signal if you need to use the restroom Ask permission to leave the room and tell the teacher where you desire to go If the teachers gives you permission, take the hall pass and place it around your neck Write your FIRST name only on the “Who’s Out of the Hive” Board Place hands by your side Place lips tightly together Proceed to your destination Return to class Erase your name off the “Who’s Out” board Return your hall pass to the hook.

10 Going to the Restroom By Yourself Use the restroom signal Wait until the teacher acknowledges you If the teachers gives you permission, take the hall pass and place it around your neck Write your FIRST name only on the “Who’s Out of the Hive” Board Place hands by your side Place lips tightly together Walk to the restroom Go to an open stall Use the restroom without talking or playing Get two pumps of soap Dry hands Get a sip of water Return to class Erase your name off the “Who’s Out” board Return your hall pass to the hook. *Students are only allowed to use the restroom twice by themselves.

11 Going to Lunch When the teacher holds up the number one, clean your desk When the teacher holds up the number two, push in your chair and stand behind it When the teacher holds up the number three, WALK to the line and stand behind the person in front of you Line up in alphabetical order Place your hands by your side Place your lips tightly together Walk closely behind the person in front of you Proceed to the lunch line if you need a school lunch. Hold your lunch tray with two hands. Get all the items you need for your lunch before you sit down at our designated table. Have a seat at our designated table if you brought a lunch from home. Eat at a level 1 (Bee Spy) and only talk to elbow partners. Remember your manners while eating. Pass your tray down to the cafeteria supervisor when lunch time has concluded When you are told, line up using 1- Clean your area, 2- Stand behind your seat, 3- Walk to the line

12 Sharpening Your Pencil Pencil Sharpener Open Hours During arrival 7:30- 8:00 During dismissal 2:15-2:30 Use the pencil sharpener during open hours. If the pencil sharper is closed, use your personal manual pencil sharpener. If you do not have one, ask a table mate Take up to THREE pencils to be sharpened. Stand in line if necessary Place the pencil’s point into the hole in the sharpener. Hold the pencil in the hole for 5 seconds. Take pencil out and determine if your pencil is sharp enough. If it is not repeat step 3.

13 Sharpening Your Pencil Pencil Sharpener Open Hours During arrival 7:30- 8:00 During dismissal 2:15-2:30 Only the teacher uses the electric pencil sharpener! You may only ask her to sharpen your pencils during open hours

14 Entering the Classroom 1.Greet classmates and teachers with a friendly greeting. 2.Retrieve a wobble cushion from the bin. 3.Place your jacket in the tub and your bookbag on the back of your seat 4.Place any notes from home or forms that need to be returned in the “Notes for the Teacher” bin. 5.Sharpen at least three pencils if needed and ensure you have your needed school supplies for the day. 6.Begin your copying your “Morning Message” if there is one. If not, respond to your juicy journal. 7.Keep working until the teacher gets your attention

15 Dismissal Clean up your area Return your wobble cushion back to the green bin. Stack your chair Place any forms that need to go home in your B.E.E Binder Place your B.E.E binder in your bookbag and collect your belongings Have a seat on the learning floor and wait silently until you are dismissed.

16 Getting the Teacher’s Attention Stay in your position Raise a silent hand Wait to speak When the teacher acknowledges you, begin talking Use the restroom symbol when appropriate

17 Turn In Work Here Write your name on your paper Write the date on your paper Listen for your teacher’s directions. Wait for your paper to be collected OR place your paper in the appropriate bin

18 Visitors and Intercom Immediately STOP what you are doing Place your silent finger over your lips Raise a silent hand Look at the teacher Wait for instructions from your teacher NEVER respond to the intercom Wear your student name tags for visitors

19 Technology Table Do not turn off the monitor Only use your login card and ensure you place it back in the container so as not to loose it You may only visit websites from the approved list Help your neighbor login

20 Fire Drill Immediately stop what you are doing Stay calm and do not scream Look for your teacher. Know where your teacher is at all times. Use “fast feet” to quickly walk to the line. It does not matter what order you line up. Follow CLOSELY behind the person in front of you. Exit through the nearest door Once outside, listen for your name Yell “HERE” loudly when your name is called. Stand in line with your hands by your side and lips tightly closed.

21 Substitute Teacher Wear your student name tag all day Follow the teacher’s instructions at all times Be flexible and understanding Demonstrate respect Help the teacher if needed Complete any assignments

22 Workshops Gather all the materials you will need for your workshop Go to your workshop area Complete workshop activity at a level 2 Remember GROUPS G- Get started immediately R- Respect others O- On task behavior U- Use learning materials for learning P- Participate actively and do your part S- Stay with your group and work cooperatively

23 Finished Early Ensure your name and date are on your paper. Follow the direction of your teacher regarding what to do with your completed assignment Complete any unfinished work Take out your think-tac-toe Pick an activity Complete the activity at your seat at a level 0

24 Turn In Homework Ensure your name and date are clearly printed. Ensure you are submitting your assignment on time. NO LATE WORK IS ACCEPTED! Keep homework assignments in your B.E.E binder until the teacher calls for them!

30 How To Clean the Tables *Remember, only I can pour the cleaning liquid in the spray bottle. Never attempt to do it independently

31 How To Take Out The Trash If the trash can is full, place one foot in the bin and slowly press down. If it is still too full, use another trash can.
