16 Study Guide Study and fully understand the BIG PICTURE chart Use the Modern History Textbooks to read CH. 4 section 4 pages 140-141 referring to Mercantilism and answer these questions 1. Define mercantilism 2. Use the Analyzing key concepts box to trace the steps illustrating mercantilism from step 1 to step 6 on page 140. How is this an example of mercantilism? 3. Answer the interpreting charts question at the bottom of page 140. Next, we will learn that Britain soon left mercantilism behind and established themselves as the world’s first industrial power. You will be reading and noting the factors that helped the British accomplish this feat. Turn to pg. 282 and outline CH. 9 Section 1 making careful to note the following: 4.
