3 P Sound P Sound Sounds like: Popcorn Popping Click me! Bring both lips together and then Release air in an explosive manner. Model the /P/ sound while holding a kleenex in front of your mouth. Take turns with the child saying the /P/ sound into the tissue to make it move with the airflow.

4 B Sound Sounds like: Bouncing Ball Click me! Bring your lips together and blow your lips apart while using your voice. Tell the child to kiss their finger while practicing the /B/ sound to encourage lip closure.

5 M Sound Sounds like: Campbell’s soup phrase, “Mmm, mmm, good!” Humming Close your lips and turn on your voice to produce the /M/ sound. Ask the child to touch their nose during sound production to feel the vibrations.

6 N Sound Sounds like: Neighing Sound Click Me! Raise your tongue tip and place it behind your top teeth, then turn on your voice. Ask the child to touch their nose when they say the /N/ sound to feel the vibrations.

7 T Sound Sounds like: Ticking Clock Click Me! Raise your tongue tip and place it behind the top teeth on the alveolar ridge. Quickly pull your tongue away from the alveolar ridge to produce a small burst of air. Ask the child to hold their hand in front of their mouth to feel the airflow.

8 D Sound Sounds like: Pecking Woodpecker Tractor Sound Click Me! Place your tongue tip firmly behind your top teeth on the alvelor ridge. Quickly lower your tongue from the alvelor ridge while turning on your voice. Ask the child to touch your/their throat to feel this voiced sound.
