Technical Program Committee Chair (IS) Duties Formerly known as the Infotech Conference chair TPC (IS) Duties – Manage all activities to get the conference organized – Be responsive to both Scitech Forum organizers and technical discipline chairs – Solicit good technical discipline chairs Eight disciplines Help the technical discipline chairs to understand the process, what deadlines are, and manage expectations – Write/revise/coordinate call for papers – Help the session chairs solicit abstracts – Oversee Tech Discipline Chairs in sessioning – Coordinate I@A’s needs with other Tech Chairs/conferences – Seek ways to improve the process

8. Tech Discipline Chairs Duties – Manage their technical discipline (e.g., intelligent systems) – Be responsive to both Infotech technical program chair and the session chairs – Solicit good session chairs Help the session chairs to understand the process, what deadlines are, and manage expectations – Ensure their technical discipline is correctly represented in the call for papers – Oversee solicitation of paper submissions – Oversee review process (find reviewers etc) – Organize papers into sessions – The TC conference planning subcommittees should help here.

9. Session Chairs Duties – Manage their sessions – Be responsive to both technical discipline chair – Review abstracts (accept/reject) – Stay in touch with authors – Manage submissions of manuscripts
