2 Latitude Lines of latitude run horizontally.
Lines of latitude are labeled either North or South depending on their relation to the Equator which is at 0°. If your location is above the Equator it is labeled North. If your location is below the Equator is labeled South.

4 Longitude Lines of longitude run vertically.
Lines of longitude are labeled either East or West depending on their relation to the Prime Meridian which is at 0°. If your location is to the right of the Prime Meridian it is labeled East. If your location is to the left of the Prime Meridian it is labeled West.

5 Lines of longitude

6 Absolute Location The definitive location of a place using a recognized coordinate system. 7 Relative Location Relative location of a city or destination on the planet is its relationship to another place or nearby landmarks. For example, West Seneca is in Western New York and is a suburb of Buffalo.
