2 Longitude The Prime Meridian is the most important line of longitude.
The longitude lines are the looonnng lines, running up and down or vertically. The Prime Meridian is the most important line of longitude. It is located at 0 degrees longitude. The distance east or west of the prime meridian is measured in degrees of longitude

4 Latitude Lines of latitude run horizontally.
The most important line of latitude is the: Equator. The Equator is found at 0 degrees latitude. The distance north or south of the equator is measured in degrees of latitude.

5 More lines of latitude! The Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn are the 2nd most important lines of latitude. The Tropic of Cancer is 30 degrees north of the equator. The Tropic of Capricorn is 30 degrees south of the equator.

7 Relative and Absolute Location
Relative Location of a city or destination on the planet is its relationship to another place or nearby landmarks. As an example, our U.S. office is on Galveston Island, located in southeastern Texas in the Gulf of Mexico, about 48 miles southeast of Houston. That's our relative location. Absolute Location is the definitive location of a place using a recognized coordinate system. In terms of latitude and longitude, our office in Galveston, Texas, is 29°16' North, 94°49' West,

bottom of the world.
