2. A little about me… I am coach Wilson. You may call me Mr. Wilson, Coach Wilson, or coach. I am from Gwinnett County Georgia. This is my third year at Camden. I coach both baseball and football here at the high school. I LOVE MATH!!! I have a degree in pure mathematics from GCSU. I am a loving husband and father.

3. DAILY SCHEDULE 8:10-9:50 1 st Block 10:00-11:40 2 nd Block 11:50-1:55 3 rd Block/Lunch 2:05-3:45 4 th Block

4. ANNOUNCEMENTS Once announcements come on: All work must be put away and pay attention. You must stand for the pledge and say the pledge. You must stay SILENT during moment of silence. NO COMMUNICATION! This is a time for reflection. You must stay silent while announcements are on.

5. TARDIES/ABSENCES If you enter the class after the bell you are late! You must have a slip signed by the front office. EXCEPTION: If your bus is late it will be announced. You then do not need a pass. This is the ONLY EXCEPTION! Absences– if you are absent for any reason, you must bring in a note signed by a parent/guardian the following day. It is YOUR responsibility to get and complete all work from the day that you missed! Work will be located in the folders on the wall under the day you were absent.

6. TRANSITIONS At the end of class, I will dismiss you. The bell does not mean you are dismissed. Be sure to straighten up your desk before you leave. When you are dismissed, you will line up quietly in a single line. You will wait outside of your next class until the teacher invites you in.

7. HALL BEHAVIOR All students are to walk in a straight line facing forward. Do not stand in the halls and block traffic. Remember- you represent yourself, your peers, your family, and your team. You are to be respectful and behave appropriately in the halls. Absolutely no running in the halls. You will be stopped by teachers monitoring the halls.

8. CLASSROOM and SCHOOL DISCIPLINE RULES 1. Follow directions the first time given. 2.Keep your hands, feet, and objects to yourself. 3.Be on time with all of your materials and ready to work. 4.Wait to be recognized before speaking. 5.Follow all county and school rules and policies.

9. MORE CLASSROOM & SCHOOL RULES GUM, CANDY & WATER ONLY water bottles or clear drinks are allowed in class. CANDY or GUM is never allowed in class unless a teacher gives it to you. Only food from the cafeteria is allowed to be eaten in class.

10. DRESS CODE  Be sure to follow SCHOOL DRESS CODE.  Check your agenda…  You will receive consequences for not following the school dress code policy.

11. LOCKERS Lockers will be assigned next week. NOONE should ever go to their locker without permission. This will earn you a consequence. Be sure to manage your time so that you are able to visit your locker between classes. Most teachers will not allow book bags in the classroom The lockers are not a place to socialize!

12. MY EXPECTATIONS RESPECT You are to respect me and each other at all times. ABSOLUTELY no laugh at each other. This is considered bullying! You do not call names. You do not hit each other. You do not throw things at each other. No one ever is allowed to tell someone to “Shut Up”. This very disrespectful! Raise your hand to talk or ask questions and wait to be called on.

13. MY EXPECTATIONS Do not touch anything that belongs to me or others without asking! Do not LIE TO ME! Once you lie to me, I can no longer trust you and will lose respect for you! Do not use inappropriate language. If it’s not something you would say in church or in front of your grandparents, DO NOT say it in school.

14. MY EXPECTATIONS Do not yell! This means no yelling out of frustration or at your classmates. If you are having a bad day or issues with someone, tell me first! Do not give me attitude  No sucking of the teeth  No shaking the head  No rolling eyes I AM AN ADULT…RESPECT ME! These are your PEERS…RESPECT THEM and YOURSELF!

15. MY EXPECTATIONS Do not steal from me or your classmates! If you need something tell me. All cell phones should be OFF during school hours. If it goes off…  1 st offense- I will ask you to put it up  2 nd offense- I will take it until the end of the day  3 rd offense- I will take it and you will have to have a parent come and get it. Do not bring other electronics to school…if someone takes it, you will probably not get it back.

16. MY EXPECTATIONS Come to class prepared–your job is to learn! I am your teacher and here to guide you in making good choices. You may not always like what I have to say, but my job is to help you be successful in all areas of your life. You are now in HIGH SCHOOL. Expectations are MUCH GREATER! It’s time to accept growing up and acting like a high school student.
