Ex: slowed breathing and heart rate and may make it hard to speak (slurred speech) or move properly People using depressants may feel sleepy and relaxed. 12 What are HALLUCINOGENS?
Hallucinogens change the way people see, hear, feel, or think. The most common hallucinogen is LSD. LSD leads the user to a serious disconnect from reality. 26 What is ECSTASY? Ecstasy is a synthetic, psychoactive drug chemically similar to the stimulant methamphetamine and the hallucinogen mescaline. What is HEROIN? Extremely Addictive Narcotic Most heroin is injected, creating additional risks for the user, who faces the danger of AIDS or other infections along with addiction. 28 What is COCAINE? Cocaine was originally developed as a painkiller.

29 What is CRACK COCAINE? It is the crystal form of cocaine that is heated and smoked. It is so named because it makes a cracking or popping sound when heated. It is the most potent/riskiest form in which cocaine appears. 30 What are the effects of using cocaine / crack cocaine?
People who use it do not sleep properly. There is increased heart rate, muscle spasms, and convulsions. It can make you feel paranoid, hostile and anxious even when not high. It increases the rate of heart attack, stroke, seizure, and respiratory failure, any of which can result in sudden death. It creates an intense high followed by an intense low. Intense depression, edginess and craving for more of the drug follow. 7/25/2015

It develops a strong desire to continue using it because the drug creates a false sense of happiness and well being - a RUSH of confidence, hyperactivity and energy. People take it by snorting, injecting, smoking, or ingesting orally.
