3 Smoke from the lit end of the cigarette has more carcinogens than the exhaled smoke of the smoker Emphysema- disease that destroys the tiny air sacs in the lungs and causes a hard time breathing Carbon monoxide is present in blood when you smoke therefore depriving the body of oxygen Chronic bronchitis and lung cancer are related to damaged bronchi by cigarette smoke Smoking increases blood pressure and chance of stroke

10 Misuse of drugs is not using them the way they are supposed to be. EX: giving prescription medicine to a person to whom it is not prescribed, taking to much or to little of the medicine, discontinuing use of medicine without finishing it, mixing medicines Prescription medicines are prescribed by doctor and must have a pharmacist fill Over the counter medicines you can buy in store without prescription

11 Morphine, codeine, and aspirin are all analgesics Marijuana has more cancer causing chemicals than tobacco Marijuana interferes with the immune system and permanently damages it Hallucinogens are never used in medical capacity Inhalants fumes sniffed to cause mind altering effect Inhalants depress central nervous system Most inhalants go immediately to the brain and cause serious consequences

12 Repeated use of cocaine can lead to the wall in nose that divides the nostrils to collapse Withdrawal occurs when you stop using and you have a physiological dependence Admitting you have a problem is the 1 st step in getting help
