Policies and Procedures MRS. BACA & MRS. REYNOLDS RM. 902

Class Non-negotiables:  Adhere to the policies and procedures discussed in class  Every student has the right to learn and the teachers have the right to teach.  BUC Pride! Model the behaviors discussed in our P.R.I.D.E. activities and on the P.R.I.D.E. Matrix  Positivity  Respect  Integrity  Dedication  Excellence

Entering the class  Students are expected to enter the class and be in their seats BEFORE the bell rings.  Once in your seat,  Bring out the necessary materials for class  Set out your homework from the night before  Record the days agenda and objective, and begin the warm up activity in your notebooks.

Homework  Homework will be assigned on a regular basis  Students will record their homework on a homework log that the teacher will provide  The teacher will check homework the day after it is assigned, and will stamp your homework log for credit  Homework logs will be collected, as well as some assignments. It is the students’ responsibility to keep track of their assignments and homework logs.  Homework assignments will be worked out IN PENCIL. However, students will write their name (first and last) date, and period number in the top right hand corner using A BLACK INK PEN. Failure to do so will result in loss of points on homework grade for that assignment.

Leaving during class  Please make time to use the bathroom during passing periods, snack/lunch, or before/after school.  In general, students are not allowed to leave class for any reason during the first 5 minutes after the bell has rung or during the last 5 minutes of class.  Students must ALWAYS have a pass while outside of the classroom during class time.

Cell Phones  Please refer to the schools website or your P.R.I.D.E. handbook for the full school policy regarding cell phones  Cell phone usage in class is up to the teacher. When cell phones are allowed during class, students are expected to use the phones appropriately, and for INSTRUCTIONAL USE.  Failure to comply with cell phone policy will have the following consequences:  1 st offense: Cell phone will be confiscated until the end of the period.  2 nd offense: Cell phone will be confiscated until the end of the day.  3 rd offense: Cell phone will be sent to the office for parent/guardian pick up.

Collaborating  Shoulder partners  A/B partners  Face Partners  Grouping

End of Class  Dismissal is done by the teacher, not the bell.  Unless directed by the teacher, do NOT pack up before being dismissed.
