2 SKIN CARE 1.Bathe and shower daily. Use mild/moisturizing soap and water. Use clean towel to dry off. Don’t share soaps and towels. 2.USE DEODERANT or BODY SPRAY!!! 3.Use a sunscreen of SPF of 15+ 4.Check over skin monthly for moles, warts, and freckles to see if they change size or color. 5.Wear T-Shirts, underwear, socks, shoes, or moisture wicking clothes (absorb sweat) when working out. 6.Put on lotion after showering if your skin is dry from water.

3 LOTIONS to USE 1.Moisturizing- keeps water in the skin and prevents skin from drying out in winter. 2.Healing- made to add moisture to dry/cracked skin. Use mainly in Winter months or if you naturally have drier skin. 3.Firming- makes skin firmer and helps hide wrinkles or cellulite.

4 CARE FOR ACNE 1.Gently wash affected areas. 2.Don’t pop the pimples or blackheads. 3.Use cosmetics sparingly (especially oily ones). 4.Use a acne cream after washing to dry out affected areas. (FYI acne may get worse before it is better) 5.See a dermatologist if acne gets worse.

5 NAIL CARE 1.Clean them. Dirty nails can draw bacteria. 2.Trim weekly. Don’t cut them all the way off. 3.File nails down to keep them neat. 4.Using nail polish is fine, but may draw bacteria to your nails.

6 FOOT CARE 1.Wear socks that are right size. Always wear clean socks to avoid odor. 2.Wash feet daily and dry them. 3.Air out shoes for 24 hours before wearing them again. Stick newspapers in them. Use dryer sheets make them smell good. 4.Cut toe nails straight across. 5.Wear properly fitted shoes.

7 FOOT PROBLEMS 1.BLISTER- raised area of skin containing liquid caused by object rubbing against it. -Keep it clean and covered w/bandage. 2. CALLUS- thickend area of skin caused by excess rubbing. -Soak in warm soapy water and use pumice stone to help get rid of dead skin.

8 FOOT PROBLEMS (cont.) 3.Athletes Foot- mainly on soles of feet. Itching, burning, redness, stinging. Skin may peel, blister, or crack. -Sprays, creams, keep feet dry. 4.Ingrown Toenail- toenail that grows into skin. -See doctor for treatment.

9 HAIR CARE DO’s 1.Wash hair every other day. More if you sweat a lot. Every 2 weeks for some populations. 2.Comb never brush wet hair. 3.Dry hair naturally or use low dryer setting. 4.Massage scalp to stimulate blood flow.

10 HAIR CARE (cont.) DON’T’S 1.Overuse hair spray, gel, or other hair products that dry hair out. 2.Share combs, brushes, or headgear. 3.Overexpose hair to sun 4.Pull hair back tight with pins, clips, or rubber bands. This can cause split ends.

11 TEETH CARE 1.Brush teeth at least TWICE a day. -After breakfast/before bed. 2.Brush ALL your teeth. Make sure you get the back teeth and sides. Also, brush your tongue. 3.Brush at least 2-3 minutes. 4.Floss. Get between teeth and gum line. 5.Visit Dentist 2x a year. 6.Use mouthwash. 7.Brushing teeth keeps breath fresh.
