2. Aim and Purpose The purpose of this slide show is so that I can present my ideas of the different types of magazines and target audiences I may consider in my magazine I have looked at three genres of magazines. I have thought about the target audiences, the lifestyles, ages and genders, and also the house style for each magazine. I have also given examples of two magazines from that genre, which I have also taken inspiration from. I would like my peers to give me their opinions of each of my ideas and participating in choosing my final genre of magazine.

3. Idea One - Pop My first idea is to create a music magazine on the Pop genre. The target audience will range between 10 - 14 and it will be aimed at females. The audience will be a student who attends secondary school. The house style of the magazine will consist of a colour scheme of pinks, white, light blues and purples. The font will be easy to read and simple, an example would be American Typewriter. I have taken inspiration from the following magazines: Top of the Pops, and Smash Hits

4. Idea Two - Rap My second idea is to create a music magazine on the Rap genre. The target audience will range between 13 - 20 and it will be aimed at males. Their lifestyle may be that they go out to clubs, and that they are interested in cars, jewellery, etc. The house style of the magazine will consist of a colour scheme of dark and dull with some bright colours which stand out. The font will be bold, an example would be Arial Black I have taken inspiration from the following magazines: Vibe, and Murder Dog

5. Idea Three - Metal My Third idea is to create a music magazine on the Metal genre. The target audience will range between 14 - 25 and it will be aimed at males and females. The audience will either be students attending college or secondary school, or someone interested in the music industry and may be a band member. The house style of the magazine will consist of a colour scheme of dark colours with bright colours for the text to make it bold and easy to read. The font will be Arial Hebrew. I have taken inspiration from the following magazines: Metal Hammer, and Kerrang.

6. Peer Feedback I think you should create a metal magazine as you have good knowledge of the audience it would be aimed at and have good ideas of what could be included in it. The idea that I liked the most is the third idea, because it sounds like something that I would usually read, and the house style and everything sounds good and well thought out.

7. Final decision With the help of my peers, i have decided to create and produce a new Metal Music Magazine.
