Genre The music genre(s) I chose to focus on for my magazine is a mix of R&B/pop I chose these genres because music within these categorizes are top of the download charts which means my magazine will gain more attention due to its genres it contains are very popular amongst the music world and it is a genre I like which ties in with the model I have selected as she looks like a R&B artist which motivates me because I know I can use my imaginative side to create a good piece of work and all these factors tie in together making it slightly easy to create a good magazine.

Target audience The target audience for this magazine are for people aged 16-28 The age range starts at 16+ because teenagers listen to music the most compared to full grown adults so through targeting it to them as well as young adults it attracts a bigger audience. It ends at 28 so that it gives the impression that it is not just for young teens which may discourage young adults who don’t want to read a magazine which appeals towards teens rather than them. And also it will motivate teens 16+ to read it seeing as they would see it as something that puts their interest on the same level as young adults. It is also aimed at people of an open mind who listen to R&B/pop

4. Title of magazine The reasons I chose this name it is unique and original it also stands out the name implies something big as if it contains the next big thing happening in the music industry. Because of this, certain people would want to read the magazine as they will feel like they cant miss an issue as if the magazine is the next big thing. Also some people would want to read the magazine such as those who don’t quite fit in and use these types of music talked about in the “big bang” as a means of escape and identification and a way of fitting in as they know about the next big thing.
