Independent Variable – This is the thing that you manipulate or change ( usually the thing that you are trying to find out about {the if in your hypothesis} )
Dependent Variable – This is what is being changed because it depends on the independent variable (This is what you measure {then this happens})

This is the part of the experiment that does not change

8. Control Group
This is a subject of study that is outside of the actual experiment. The control group gives us something to compare the experimental results with. The control will be set up exactly like the experiment but without the independent variable.
