Ways to Draw in Traffic ALWAYS respond to comments Upload photos (with captions and tags) ▫Invite visitors to share experiences and/or pictures from the events ▫Research indicates that videos draws more attention Mention website content such as news articles, events, and website updates. ▫Limit these posts to no more than one a week Create discussions on topics related to 4-H events and projects

Discussion Ideas Spotlight Member- once a month ▫Possibly exploring former alumni or volunteers Kick off the new year – ask visitors what they would like to see on Facebook page? Create polls asking members about 4-H events Prime Posting Times ▫Best days: Wednesday, Saturday ▫Times: Noon or outside of normal working hours Conversation Posts ▫Focus on upcoming events

Conversation Example Upcoming Event: Camp of Food and Fitness Jan. 14 & 15 ▫Post about event with information and deadlines ▫Remind visitors to register and/or share the event with friends ▫Build discussions focused on the camp objectives of nutrition and fitness What is your favorite healthy snack? What do you do to keep fit in the winter?
