6 Website  Foundation of most Online Businesses  Professional Image (Branding & Email)  You have “the Power”  You have “Control”  Content Management Systems (WordPress)  Responsive  Blogging or News Subsystem  Able to Measure (Analytics)

7 Content Really is King  Content / Keyword Rich  If you want to be found via Google – you need to include keywords in your site content  Understand your Keywords  KNOW them… Don’t Guess  A single Page website just won’t “cut” it

8 Blogging for Business ??? Adding a blog to your website, and occasionally posting articles or news items related to your business, can be one of the simplest and most effective ways to:  raise the online profile of your business  improve search rankings  increase traffic  optimise conversion rates  and (most importantly) generate leads and sales

9 Paid Advertising  Google Adwords  Can be VERY effective for New websites  Can be VERY expensive if done wrong  Facebook Ads  Paid Directories  MUST Monitor and Measure effectiveness

10 Analytics  Google Analytics  Free  Easy to setup (especially in WP)  Very Comprehensive  Can be overwhelming  eCommerce Capabilities

11 Email Marketing  eNewsletter  Autoresponders  3 rd Party Providers  Mailchimp  Constant Contact  Aweber  Etc….

12 Social Media  Can be VERY effective if that is where your target market “hangs out”  Good for Branding and Awareness  Tends to be short term for traffic  Limited SEO Benefit  Can be time consuming

13 Next Steps….  Most important thing – Do Something  Don’t Procrastinate  Don’t think about the things you could/should do  Don’t “plan” for months  Don’t wait until everything is “perfect”  Take at least one of the points I have discussed today and TAKE ACTION
