5 How to Submit a Project COPPA Policy Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA)  All users under the age of 13 must seek permission from their parent or guardian in order to have their digital project published at MastodonFair.org. While we welcome participation from members under 13, we require that a parent or guardian give permission before we allow entry for the award competition. Any participant under 13 must include their Parent/Guardian's information below, and we will follow up by calling the Parent/Guardian to obtain permission to publish the participants entry online. 5 Copyright © 2013 Constant Contact, Inc.

7 How to Submit a Project Fill in the form in full  Project Entry: Provide information about the purpose of the project and what was done, such as: “My experiment will test whether age helps in the differentiation of optical illusions. I believe I will fine age does not help. To test my hypothesis, I used three different colors of paper and three different colors of marker. I placed one dot of each color at the same location on each piece of paper. 9 How to Submit a Project Image requirements:  gif, jpg, or png, pre-edited and sized.  Make sure that the exhibit ID number are the first characters of the image name. Example: Exhibit ID is S-00-9995. The images would be named S009995_image1.png, etc.  Make sure images are edited to your liking prior to submission and plan for the background color of the submission to be white. No faces, names, or distinguishing items (school mascot, sports jersey, etc) in the images.  Files must be under 50MB in size.  Please use the image on the right on http://www.mastodonfair.org/share-your- dream/ to compare the pixel size you want to the size of your submission area. http://www.mastodonfair.org/share-your- dream/ 9 Copyright © 2013 Constant Contact, Inc.

10 How to Check Image Size 1. Right click on the file and go to “Properties” 2. Under the first tab, “General”, locate “Size” 3. If the file ends in KB the image does not require resizing 4. If the file size ends in MB, but is under 50 MB, then the image does not require resizing 5. 13 How to Submit a Project Fill in the form in full  Special Instructions: Provide information there are any special instructions or comments about the format of the entry (i.e. how, or where, you would like the images or video placed in the project entry), such as: “Please center my first image about my first paragraph.
