Weekly face to face contact with teacher per state law Please call if your child will be absent. Please schedule medical appointments on your non TEC days Contact Hours

8:50 – 3:00 Only point of entry is through the front door during the day. Late or absent- Please call 354-7815 If you come in late, walk your child to the office. Your child will take a late slip to the teacher. If you have not called, you will receive a phone call after attendance is taken. School Hours

Family Mailbox Located across the hall from the office. Your child’s last name will be on the box. Please check your family mailbox daily. Email Please keep your email contact information updated. Primary contact between the family and school will be email. Communication

WSLP- Written Student Learning Plan You will have a certified teacher assigned to your children. This is your WSLP teacher. WSLP Meetings- Three mandatory meeting each year Fall (August/September), Winter (January), Spring (June) Students are required to attend WSLP meetings. Please make arrangements to be available during these dates. There are no TEC classes during the WSLP meeting weeks. Additional meetings may be required by WSLP teacher WSLP

On the TEC website click on WINGS. Username – Parent or guardian last name followed by the number 8. Password – password (you do have the option to change this, however, we will not be able to look up your new password if you forget it.) WINGS

Choose a student - click on their student ID number Student Schedule at the top WSLP grade level course work at the bottom of schedule Student goals for grade level Customized learning plan will be in the Digital Learning Plan (DLP) Look up allocation balance under family $250 per semester, per student (dependent upon enrollment). If we do not have the materials you need, you will place an order. Check room 108 first. Only secular materials can be purchased and used for school hours at home. Non Consumable (materials that can be used again by another student)- Materials will be barcoded and will be returned to the school. Consumable (materials for one-time use) – belongs to the student and student can write in these materials. Materials

How many hours of school each week? 6-8: 25 hours minimum of total weekly learning TEC hours + learning at home = total hours Example: 12 TEC hours + 13 home learning hours = 25 hours of total learning Organizing Your Home Learning

A tool to help you organize your learning at home Example of how to use… Fill in your plan for the week and highlight/cross out what has been completed OR Fill in your planner as you are working through your day to keep track of what your child has completed. Track your lessons, topics, and hours for monthly progress notes. Planners

Progress Notes due on the 20 th of every month. Except for December and June Make sure your progress notes align with your Digital Learning Plan (DLP) that you created with your WSLP teacher. If you decide to change your curriculum materials during the year, contact your WSLP to update your learning plan. Progress Notes: Things to Remember
