3  It’s important to present yourself in a positive manner in all professional and social atmospheres  Start now with creating a professional image for yourself  Teachers, Coaches, and Counselors may be used as great professional references if you act appropriately while in school and at scholastic functions

4  Attitude  Adopting a service mentality, seeking responsibility, having determination, and being a team player (this is LNE’s version of Living Above the Line)  Image  Professionals look the part (tattoos and piercings)  Dress appropriately, hair neat with appropriate style/color, be polished  Accountability  Accountable for thoughts, words, and actions, especially when a mistake has been made

5  Competency  Combination of expertise, performance, and being a good communicator  Reliable, keep promises, get the job done right the first time  Don’t make excuses and focus on finding solutions  Conduct  Maturity, manners, loyalty, respect for authority, confidentiality, and a touch of class  Respectful of others and work with integrity and honesty

7  Employers and other professionals will be contacting you via phone and/or email so make sure both are appropriate  Email should not have inappropriate words, numbers, or meanings  Voicemail should be set with an appropriate and professional greeting  Ringback Tones are not appropriate
