So prove it……., Well we can always use the Bandura and Ross (1961) study we already learned. 36 Boys and 36 Girls from Stanford U Nursery school (4.4 years old). How does this study support SLA? What are its problems? Explain social learning theory, making references to two relevant studies.

St. Helena Study Charlton et al. (2000) Remote island is South Atlantic Aim: See if TV would make kids more aggressive. In 1995 they showed kids 3-8 TV in their classrooms (control group was kids in London). Explain social learning theory, making references to two relevant studies.

St. Helena Study Charlton et al. (2000) Then they watched for aggression. They also interviewed teachers and parents. Results: No increase in violence or aggressive behavior over 5 years. Discussion: The island community did not put up with violence. They may have learned aggressive behavior from TV, but did not show it. No motivation (reinforcement) to show what they learned.
