16 QUESTION ANALYSIS Questions 155 – 157: These are based on the principle of Abetment in Criminal Law. Two principles and a moderate length of facts followed by three questions makes it a MUST ATTEMPT question. The questions asked can be cracked by direct application of the principle not requiring much analysis. Ques 155: D did not have any idea about A’s plan. He merely came to drop A to college. Hence, (b) is the correct option. Ques 156: The answer would be (a) as per principle 2. There was no act on his part which aided or facilitated the act of stabbing. Ques 157: As per Principle 2, for a person to be guilty by abetment, the aid should be given at the time or prior to the commission of the offence which in this case was given after the offence. Hence, option (b) is the correct answer.

17 QUESTION ANALYSIS Questions 151 - 153: These set of questions are based on Consumer Protection Laws. Consisting of 4 principles and a reasonably long set of facts make it a lengthy question but at the same time the simple and easy language makes it a MUST ATTEMPT one. Ques 167 and 168: These set of questions are based on the principles of Payment of Gratuity Act. The question consists of 4 principles and a long set of facts followed by just 2 questions. This question can be attempted last if time permits or can be avoided. Reading through it is pretty time consuming. The facts also have a technical bent and need careful analysis. For those who attempt it, make a tabular format of people joining and leaving to ease the analysis. W.r.t. Ques 167, Y’s claim cannot be upheld because he worked only for a month and as per Principle 1, gratuity is paid in return of long service. W.r.t Ques 168, A’s establishment does not come under the definition of a shop in the preceding last one year of X’s retirement. Hence, option (c) is the correct answer.
