The vitamins contained in these fruit helps you maintain form – a healthy immune system – yet at the same time not gain weight! So, you get the sweetness, along with the taste and with no gained weight! How awesome is that? Same with “disgusting” vegetables. They actually help in keeping you and your body happy and satisfied. A sandwich like this one, gives you enough calories to maintain your weight. The chicken here provides you with protein for growth, yet not too much for fat. The vegetables are full of nutrients, leaving you feeling fresh and energetic for the remaining of the day. So, you can get a lot of energy out of small portions of food, as long as you know what will keep your hunger away for longest.

4 By eating healthy, you don’t only take care of your health, but also of you appearance! By drinking water, (which has no calories!!) you don’t only eliminate the risk of gaining weight, but also you oxygenate your brain properly. If you drink liquids such as fizzy drinks, your brain won’t be oxygenated as well, due to the high amounts of sugars in the drink. On a scale from 1 to 10, how will your health improve after following a much stricter as well as healthier menu for your lunch? 1 10 THAT IS RIGHT! BEYOND 10!

5 A healthy diet will give us the right amount of each nutrient and energy. Too much or too little food or the wrong food may make us malnourished. This could make us fat or thin or we could get a deficiency disease. We all need proteins for growth & repair;  fats and carbohydrates for energy  vitamins and minerals to keep us healthy  fibre to move food through our gut Our metabolic rate is the speed at which our body does chemical reactions. It is linked to how much exercise we take and to how much muscle and fat we have. Our metabolic rate stays high for a while after exercise. The more regular exercise we do, the fitter we are. The less exercise we take, the less food we need.

6 Too little food? Not enough nutrients? This is common in the developing world and may cause reduced resistance to infection and irregular periods in women. Too much food? Too little exercise? – may cause obesity and other diseases such as: Arthritis, diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease are all linked to being too fat.
