8 Global Trade Globalization links the world’s businesses and affects trade. It had made it quicker and easier. Countries are becoming interdependent. Interdependence Interdependence is a relationship between countries in which they rely on one another for resources, goods or services.

11 A World Community What happens in one part of the world can affect the entire planet. The world community works to promote cooperation between countries in times of crisis. It is like the entire world is one village that works together.

12 A World Community Countries join together to solve conflicts. The United Nations (UN) is an organization of the world’s countries that promotes peace and security around the globe.

Possible answers – people are in close contact; a problem in one country affects other countries, much like village neighbors; people share some culture traits like people in a village. How does a large scale disaster promote cooperation between countries? Possible answers – it may be too big for a single nation to solve; it affects more than one nation.
