1 ALL ABOUT THE THIRTEEN COLONIES

2 FOUNDING FATHERS Thomas Jefferson was a founding father. He was the third president and he served in continental congress. John Jay was also a founding father. He became wealthy and was a minister to Spain. John Adams was also a founding father. He was the first vice president of the United States of America. John Madison was also a founding father. He was an author of the United States bill of rights.

3 TOOLS/JOBS Hammer Compass Saws
There were a lot of jobs in Colonial times. I am going to name 3. The first job is wig making- ”Ladies and Gentlemen are crowned with the latest hairstyles”. The second job is Cooping- ”Creator of casks for everything from wine to gunpowder”. The last job is Weaving-”Weavers grow in prominence when embargoes ban imported cloths”. Saws Hammer Compass

4 EDUCATION Back then there were learning how to sew, write letters, spell words, and read books.

5 MUSIC/GAMES Back in Colonial times, one type of music was military. Two types of instruments were Fifes and Drums. Some games colonial people play are Cards, board games, and also puzzles.

6 CLOTHING Some clothes that colonial people wore were coats, silk cravats, hat, breeches, stockings, canes, waistcoat, wig, shirt.

7 3 REGIONS OF THE THIRTEEN COLONIES
The three regions of the thirteen colonies were NEW ENGLAND: Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. SOUTHERN COLONIES: Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. MIDDLE COLONIES: New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.

8 FOOD 4 types of food from colonial times were peanut soup, gingerbread, holiday Wassail, and tide water chili.
