4 3 Regions And Why They Were Unique #1 New England had whale trapping, ship building and logging. States that were part of this region are Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. #2 Middle Colonies grew numerous kinds of crops mainly grain and oats. States that were there were New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. #3 Southern Colonies grew rice and many other crops. The states that were part of that region were Maryland, Virginia, North and South Carolina and Georgia.

6 One job was a milliner which was a woman who would make shifts, gowns, aprons and cloaks for people. Another job was the blacksmith who would make hardware for homes for fellow tradesmen. Then there is the gardener who can be any gender and will pick the crops and flowers for people and sell them.

7 For kids they had board games and puzzles as games also cards and would even walk on stilts, and roll hoops down the sidewalk. Then they would also play a game of ninepins. For music they play the instruments base, snare, drums and fifes.

8 Education For the education which was very expensive, the children would practice their letters on slate boards, read 18-century books and would do educational puzzles.

9 Shelter And Furnishings Their shelters would be small wood or brick houses with a stone chimney. Some had shudders and fences. The furniture was made of wood which would be table and chairs. They would have a stone fire place and a bed that could be made with feathers or straws as the mattress but wood for the bed.

10 Clothing For clothing men would wear, Breeches Cravat 9 (a neck cloth) Banyan for the mornings For women they would wear, Petticoat Cap Brunswick (jacket)

11 Food The people had many good foods such as Peanut soup Ginger bread and holiday wassail Shepard's pie

12 Slavery Slavery came to America to farm and create tobacco. Slavery was usually in the southern colonies because they would raise tobacco.
