4. George Washington was the 1 st President and the general of the American army. John Adams was the 2 nd president and the 1 st Vice President. Benjamin Franklin was the inventor of the lightning rod, bifocals, and the Franklin Stove Thomas Jefferson was the 3 rd President, the 2 nd Vice President, and the writer of the Declaration of Independence.

5.  Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island were the New England colonies.  New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware were the Middle Atlantic colonies.  Maryland, Virginia, North and South Carolina, and Georgia were the Southern colonies

6.  The New England Colonies had whaling, fishing, and logging.  The Middle Colonies had agriculture, logging, and shipbuilding.  The Southern Colonies had farming and slavery
