Participants EOG Students to be Tested Makeup Testing Retest
Testing includes all students enrolled in grades 3 through 8, except for those participating in the GAA 2.0. Advanced middle school students enrolled in an EOC MUST take the required EOC assessment. Those middle school students enrolled in an ELA, mathematics, or science EOC course must not take the corresponding grade-level EOG. Makeup Testing Make-up tests must be given within the system’s scheduled local administration window; the last day of the local window should be scheduled as a makeup day. For Grades 3, 5, or 8 – a new student who has not tested should participate in the EOG content assessment(s) for that grade level for locally required promotion/retention rules, if the state window is still open. Retest Students who are not on Grade Level for Reading in Grades 3,5,8 Students who score in the Beginning Learner achievement level in mathematics in Grades 5,8 Promotion/Retention rules based on Georgia Milestones results are determined locally. 4/6/2019

School Test Coordinator Responsibilities & Activities Before Testing
Become familiar with all testing procedures by reading this Test Administration Manual. Attend all training sessions on the technical and administrative aspects of the Georgia Milestones assessments, and make sure that Examiners attend the sessions pertinent to their administrative function. Supervise the secure storage area for all online Georgia Milestones assessment materials. Add or edit student information in eDIRECT Student Management as necessary. Assign students to test sessions and, as needed, assign accommodations prior to printing Test Tickets. Supervise the preparation of the testing room(s), making sure there is at least one computer for every participating student and workstations are arranged to prevent cheating. Assist the Technology Coordinator in preparing workstations for testing (installing test client software and downloading test content). Complete the Secure Practice Test with Response Transmission prior to the operational window to ensure that all components of the system are configured and operating correctly. Distribute the Student Test Roster and student Test Tickets to Examiners on the day of testing. Ensure that there are enough working headphones for students who require a read-aloud accommodation for the online Georgia Milestones assessments. Monitor test administration and ensure that prescribed administration procedures are followed. Monitor students with In Progress status whose tests are locked. Be available to answer questions and to help with technical problems during test administration
40
Launching INSIGHT Ensure INSIGHT has been launched.
Check student test tickets Verify name and accommodations on test tickets. Become familiar with student needs so that all accommodations are administered. Some accommodations are managed by test examiner and not INSIGHT.
41
Student Login Students should enter login information from their test ticket. Stagger logins for a better student experience.
42
What happens if a student gets sick?
Sickness during testing administration Student gets sick prior to starting the test. Upon return to school student will complete the test in its entirety and test is scored as is; does not require MyGaDOE Portal entry. Student gets sick after having completed Section 1 but before starting Section 2. Upon return to school, student will complete Section 2 of the test and test is coded as an irregularity; requires MyGaDOE Portal entry. Student gets sick while testing in either Section 1 or 2. Test scores maybe invalidated by GaDOE; requires MyGaDOE Portal entry.
43
What happens if there are network issues?
If the system shows a message about connectivity issues, contact your school technology contact. The system will allow the student to continue testing after network issues are resolved. Work with your test coordinator to determine if students can continue testing.
44
TAM Script The Test Administration Manual (TAM) should be read in its entirely prior to testing. Additionally, all documents given to you by your school testing coordinator (i.e., accommodations guidelines) should be read prior to testing.
45
Testing Irregularities
Examples of testing irregularities are included in the Test Administration Manuals. Examples of test irregularities include, but are not limited to: A student becomes ill or leaves for an appointment during testing and cannot finish the test A student leaves the test setting without an escort or monitor A student doesn’t receive their accommodation This may lead to an irregularity of an invalidation of test scores. A student refuses accommodations A student accesses an electronic device in the testing room An adult provides inappropriate assistance to a student during testing A student is provided with an inappropriate manipulative (e.g. calculator) during testing An unused test ticket is missing Note: Immediately report any irregularities to the school test coordinator.
46
Improper Student Test Activity
Viewing other student’s test Accessing unallowable aids or materials Previewing content Accessing cell phone, smart watch, ebooks, tablets Recording responses in the incorrect location If you are unsure about cheating, allow the student to complete the test section and report to the school test coordinator. If cheating is confirmed, test scores will be invalidated by the GaDOE.
47
Student Status Student Management Tab > Student Status
All sections of a test must be in Completed status. The School and/or System Testing Coordinators should use the Student Status option to verify that test sections believed to be complete are not in In Progress, Locked, or Not Started status. Sections believed to be complete but are not in Completed status can be logged into by the student and, under supervision, set to Completed status using the End Test and Submit buttons. Training video and Quick Start Guide on Monitoring Student Progress can be found at: Instruction-and- Assessment/Assessment/Pages/Milestones_Training.aspx. This option accounts for all sections of a test. 4/6/2019
