2 A Spirit of Excellence Respect for Self, Others, the Teacher, and the Classroom

3 Every day you should have the following:  Three-ring binder (notebook)  Five clean sheets of notebook paper  Blue or black ink pen  No. 2 pencil

4  Nothing can take the place of being in the classroom with the teacher. Your goal should be perfect attendance.  Students who have perfect attendance at the end of each grading period are honored and rewarded.

5 Class notes are taken daily. Therefore, students will always have make-up work if they are absent. When you are absent you should check for:  Class notes and new calendar dates  Handouts  Graded Assignments

6 Tutorials are held in the morning and afternoon in Room 207 for:  Completing missing work  Re-testing for a failed assignment  Getting extra time to work on an assignment  Receiving extra instruction on anything not fully understood

7 1. Do not talk when Ms. Mitchell is talking. 2. Raise your hand and wait to be called on. 3. Do not call Ms. Mitchell “Miss” 4. Do not talk while another student is presenting or responding to a question. 5. Do not throw anything in the classroom. 6. Backpacks in front of your seat and out of the aisle.

8 7. Feet on the floor and not on the book holders. 8. Do not write on the desk. 9. No name calling or insults to anyone.
