 Our house run’s on Geothermal energy and is located in Puna, Big Island, Hawaii.

 Water seeps into the earths crust to be heated up and boiled by hot lava to later become water vapor. We access the vapor by either drilling a hole where there is a lot of it or from a hot spring. The drilled vapor is then used to spin a turbine, which spins a generator creating electricity.

1. Does not cost a lot of money after the plant is made. 2. Reduces reliance on fossil fuels 3. No pollution 4. Job creation

1. Not a widespread source of energy 2. Suited for only particular regions of the nation. 3. They can in extreme cases cause earthquakes from the drilling.

 Uses shipping containers to build house or building.  It takes place of the whole structure of the house and out side of the house.

 Help decrease the heat transfer in homes, unlike single pane windows.  The separation between the two glasses creates insulation.  When cool outside, keep the curtains open. When hot outside, close the shade to cool the house.

 Even in Puna, Hawaii, it still has cold months and hot months.  For example:  Warmest Months: August and September  Coolest Months: January, February, and March

 It is used for lighting the house  It replaces the regular light bulb.  It uses less energy which in the end saves you money.

 It system that stores and collects rain water.  Replaces a good amount of water that you need in your house not all of it but a lot and the rain water is obviously free

 It is a toilet that has 2 buttons to flush. One button uses a very small amount of water and the other one uses less than a regular toilet but more than the first. Usually use the first one if u do #1 and use the 2 nd one for #2.
