What’s in Our Makeup Kit? The Tools of Theatrical Makeup

Makeup Sponges Used to apply makeup in broad strokes and blend out lines

Stipple Sponge Used to apply makeup in flecks or sporadic patterns to create bruises or scrapes

Makeup Brushes Used to apply makeup in more detailed and controlled strokes; most effective with smaller areas and fine lines and wrinkles

Powder Brush Used to apply rouge (blush) or translucent powder

Translucent Face Powder & Puff Used when sealing your makeup design to prevent smudging Powder is evenly disbursed on the puff and then gently patted on the face

Eyebrow Brush Used to brush and comb the eyebrow into shape when “blocking” them; used to brush snow white hair color into hair, facial hair or eyebrows

Eyebrow Pencils Used to fill in the eyebrow with color or outline the areas of a makeup design

Lip Pencils Used to outline and perhaps fill in the lip with color

Foundation Cakes These are the most basic components of our makeup kits Used as a base layer to neutralize uneven or blemished skin

Character Shadow & Highlight Cakes Used to add shadow & highlight to the various parts of the face

Contour Wheel Contains several different crème colors (Black, Cinnamon, Natural Lip & Rouge)

Bruise & Abrasion Wheel Contains several different crème colors (Violet, Brown, Crimson & Goldenrod) Used with the stipple sponge to create bruises and scrapes
