19 Mascara PROPER APPLICATION 1. Use mascara wand 2. Coat wand with mascara 3. Client must be sitting up straight, eyescasted down 4. Pull up on brow bone 5. Communicate with model 6. Apply mascara from base of eyelash rolling wand up and out, up and out 7. Allow model time to blink 8. Coast all surfaces, bottom and top

20 Blush Why does a model need blush? to place and cheekbones PROPER APPLICATION 1. Using blush brush, start at hair line down to apples of cheeks 2. Reverse Nike check 3. Do not let blush drop lower than lips

23 Lips Why does a model need lip color? to create natural definition, fullness, and evenness PROPER APPLICATION 1. Moisturize 2. Fill with lip pencil 3. Fill with lip color (stick or gloss) 4. Add volume with highlighter

24 Lips 4 Lip Balancing Techniques 1. Thin Lips use lip pencil, draw round line outside natural lip line 2. Full Lips apply foundation to outside edges of lip to ‘erase’ natural lip line use lip pencil, draw line inside natural lip line 3. Uneven Lips 4. Down-turned Lips using lip pencil, do not start at extreme corner being just above where lip starts to turn down

25 Lip Liner PROPER APPLICATION 1. Visualize 4 sections, muscle fibers run inward 2. Using lip pencil, start at outer most corners 3. Create dashed line and connect 4. Top lip first, then bottom lip 5. Line all 4 sections 6. Fill in entire lip with pencil

26 Lip Stick and Lip Gloss PROPER APPLICATION 1. Gather lip spatula and lip brush 2. Scrape lip color onto lip spatula 3. Use lip brush to get color from spatula 4. Using lip brush, follow same procedure for lip liner

27 Lip Products Search for product that moisturizes Too many chemicals cause drying Beware of ‘petro-’ ingredients

28 Too much make-up? After everything is all done, you notice: “Woah, there is too much make-up goin’ on!” Reverse steps of application Review Is my lip color too much? Do I have too much blush on? Are my eyes too dramatic?

29 Need a touch-up? You’ve been going, going, going all day and you still have more going to do? And so you just need a touch-up. Check your skin, use a powder to freshen and re-soften your skin tone Then evaluate in order of initial application: foundation, brows, eyes, blush, lips
