Text/Font: The font used on these covers are basic, but they stand out because of how bold they are. This is typical font of a HipHop magazine. It represents the attitudes of the readers/target audience. It also makes the magazine easier to read which suggests that the magazine isn’t designed for older people but rather people in their teens. I took inspiration from these magazine covers as I will make my title big and bold, but the difference is that the font on my magazine will be more interesting. Title: (XXL) The title of these magazines are very basic, this makes the magazine look more professional, the colours used are very bright and this makes the title stand out, especially as the background is dark. The title is very large so makes it very easy to read but as seen in the first magazine because of the size of the title sometimes it has to be blocked by the artist, this makes its slightly harder to see. Target Audience & Brand Identity: The target audience for this magazine is mainly older teens. Readers will be able to relate to the content and also will be able to recognise the artists (An older adult wouldn’t be expected to know the Celebrities on this magazine). Also this is an underground type of magazine but features mainstream artists. The specific group of people that the magazine is aimed at are unruly and restless. Colours: The cover is this magazine consists of some dark background colours which increases focus on the main celebrity, it also makes the writing stand out and makes it easier to read as it’s all in very bright colours. In my magazine I got inspiration from XXL to have a dark background to help the viewer focus more on the artist and content this will catch the eye of the reader so means the audience will be more likely to buy it. This colour scheme isn’t usual as a lot of other magazines use very bright and loud colours. The dark blend of colours makes the fashion of the artists stand out, around the edge the celebrity it has been faded so that the colours blend in with each other, this makes nothing look out of place. Layout / Design

Fonts and Colours The main colours that I’ll be using in my magazine are red and black, as they are prominent colours in fashion at the moment (for example the new “Kanye West” Red october Yeezy’s. These two colours also contrast well together as the dark back makes the writing and artist stand out more. None of the magazines that I researched such as XXL, Vibe and Men’s fashion use graffiti like my magazine. The idea is original, this will raise interest from the audience as it’s something they rarely see.

Black and red color Scheme. Graffiti design. I got inspiration from these two magazines, One for the color scheme and the other for the design of the title. Magazines I got inspiration from

Features Expensive fashion substitutes- This is feature is mostly for younger readers, as it suggests alternate brands that are cheaper but have the same style of clothes. This feature is an original idea as I haven’t seen it on other magazines yet. The feature will also attract a lot of attention from the less economically inclined readers. Top 10 dressed celebrities: This feature is in various other magazines, it will be decided by fans who will be able to # on twitter to vote. By doing this it means I can interact with the audience. This will make them feel as if they have a say in the content that will be in the magazine, this also means that the content will always be what the viewer likes and not random.

Music- There will be a section dedicated to music, and how it links in with fashion. For example what the celebrities are wearing etc. Also celebrities personal opinions on brands through interviews. Deals (Big brand stores)- Some magazines have a feature to show deals for the big brands, I’ll incourporate this idea in my magazine and give out fiver new codes for websites such as Nike.com, Adidas.com, Choicestore.com etc. This will be every few days. The target audience will appreciate deals. Features

Chief Keef Bought a new mansion: Chief keef shows of new home, uploading photos to InstaGram for fans to look at and like. New SUPREME x Fendi collaboration: People have been lined up outside the supreme doors for nights now to get their hands on the new SUPREME x Fendi Hoodie and Belt. Analogue magazine cover This is how the magazine cover would look if I was to make an analogue magazine. Plan (Finishing design will be sleeker.

Pitch Ideas. My E-magazine. - Demographic: year olds, focused on males in particular. -All genres of fashion (both high end and low end). -Features: High end fashion substitutes/Top 10 dressed celebrities/Music and how it links with fashion/Deals and codes for discounts. Fashion magazine industry. - Fashion magazines are mainly targeted at females as oppose to males. -Fashion magazines usually like to include samples etc. (Just for specific purpose of attracting attention from their target audience). -All magazines to do with fashion include a big celebrity, some have multiple (Usually the bigger ones). How the magazine is different from other men’s fashion magazines? - The fonts and layouts of magazines such Vibe, NME, and XXL are basic and boring, but my magazine has more original designs such as the graffiti writing for the title. Also because a lot of graffiti is done by my target audience (16-22) so they can relate to it. -Another feature in my magazine that’s different is deals, none of the other maga- zines I researched did this and I think it will have a positive effect on the views of the magazine as people will be saving money through us meaning convenience for them. -Lastly my magazine differs because it Covers a wide variety of topics such as Music, fashion, news etc.
