Presentation transcript:

TONE The tone in informational. In my two books, Davids is simply explaining the main concepts, teachings, and beliefs in Buddhism. He also describes the life of Gautama. He used this tone because he wanted to educate the reader about Buddhism and Buddha.

Imagery In Rhys’s books there are multiple images created. The main image created is what a true Buddhist is like. He depicts the Buddhist as a good, moral person. There is so much detail given about Buddhists that the reader can create a good image of a Buddhist. This image created helps explain the Buddhist religion.

Speaker (Voice) Rhys had a good diction. He clearly explained and went in depth of all the Buddhist teachings. He broke Buddhism down, allowing the reader to understand and learn everything at the core of Buddhism.

In order to help create imagery and teach Buddhism in his books, Rhys uses apostrophe. He refers to Buddha, Indians, Chinese, and Monks. These references help the reader understand what is being taught a little better because they have a well known reference to use.
