Task 1: Research Buddhism and try to answer the following questions:
What does Buddhism concentrate on?
What ‘state’ do Buddhist try to achieve?
How many followers are there in the world?
Whose footsteps are they trying to follow? Explain who he was.
What is tilakhana?
Why are they not worshipping any God?
What is Karma?
Why is meditation integral in Buddhism?
How and where are Buddhists worshipping?
Who is the Dalai Lama and what is his role?
What surprised you about Buddhism?

4. What are the basic ideas behind Buddhism?
What are clear differences between our perception of God and what Buddhists belief in?
What questions would you ask a Buddhist monk about the religion? Write down at least 5 questions.
What are the benefits and/ or positive features about Buddhism and its core beliefs? Is there any disadvantages/ negative features?
Research symbols used in Buddhism and their meaning. Then create your own new image which would fit to Buddhism and which shows one of their core beliefs.
Justify: ‘It does not matter if any religion is believing in God as a person, a thing or that ‘God’ is in and around us in all things, the messages we should learn from a specific religion are still the same and therefore just as valid.’ Explain your answer.
