Who is the King of The Plant Kingdom?

Characteristics of the Plant Kingdom All Multicellular Eukaryotic Autototrophs- Use Photosynthesis to obtain their food Cell Walls made of cellulose Reproduce sexually or Asexually

There are over 375,000 known species of plants

So who among these species is the true king of the Plant Kingdom?

Several Plants have been group together based on their unique adaptations Adaptation- A characteristic that help an organism survive or reproduce.

You decide…. Which group should be named the king of the Plant Kingdom

Orchids

Xerophytes

Vines and Stranglers

Epiphytes: Air Plants

Carnivorous Plants

Based on their unique adaptations, who should be named the king of the Plant Kingdom? Create a campaign poster for the group of plants you were given on why they should be named the new king of the kingdom.

Your Poster should include A Title: The Name of your group of plants AND a clever name that you came up with that describes their adaptations. Example: Angiosperms- “Flower Power” List at least four adaptations the plant has that allows it to get limited resources better than others, or helps it reproduce. (the more the better for the campaign. List at Least three examples of plants found in your group. A picture that describes your plant group in a clever way. Your Position: Explain why your plant should be considered the King of the plant kingdom over the other groups.
