From Casey’s Kitchen… Recipe: Positive Behavior Change Ingredients  Equal Parts:  Individual desire and motivation to change  Individual knowledge & information  Access to tools/resources necessary to implement change  Access to tools/resources necessary to sustain change Preparation 1. Mix all ingredients together 2. Let rest 3. Taste 4. Adjust, as necessary

Ingredient 1: Individual desire & motivation Do you want to make the change? Do you value the end result enough to embark on the change?

Stages of Change: Are you ready? No, not me! Well, maybe…. So, OK. What do I do now? Ok. Let’s do this. It IS possible.

Ingredient 2: Information & Knowledge Do you have the information, knowledge, and skills necessary to make the desired change?

Ingredient 3: Access to resources & tools to make changes Does your environment contain the tools and resources necessary to support change?

Ingredient 4: Access to resources & tools to sustain changes If your motivation wanes, does your environment provide what is needed to make the healthy choice the easy choice?

Preparation 1. Mix all ingredients together 2. Let rest 3. Taste the results 4. Adjust as necessary
