Retrofit PTCS Duct Sealing SGC Manufactured Homes Energy Savings Analysis

The Issue Current RTF Assumption: All SGC homes have tight ducts: But utilities are finding homes that were certified as SGC that need duct sealing.

SGC/NEEM Specification History 1992 – SGC spec (MAP) - prescriptive duct sealing requirement – SGC specs updated to require butyl tape 2004 – SGC specs updated to require mastic and duct testing of each floor in the factory. Before 2004, is there much difference in the duct tightness of a SGC home and a nonSGC home?
