4 Specs Development Background WA 2012 residential code allows a builder to choose one of many paths RTF staff worked with WA department of Commerce, NW Energy Star and Ecotope Consulting to define typical code compliance paths RTF Subcommittee formed to help draft Energy Star and Built Green home specs for WA Built Green 3 or 4 star will use same specs as Energy Star These specs provide a Reference Home that may be built to prescriptively or used as an energy use modeling target. Builders to use NW REMRate as a Energy Star compliance tool for RTF approved trade-offs. 4
